Summary
My high-profile Utilities client is looking for a Data Process Analyst to join their team Based at their Bristol offices (Twice a week on site) on an initial 6-Month contract with chance of extensions.
Our client a reputable utilities company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Process Analyst to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. Reporting to the Data Engineering & Process Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the company's vision of a clean, fair, and affordable energy future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing efficient data solutions and processes.
- Cleaning, integrating, manipulating, and managing datasets from multiple sources.
- Analysing datasets to identify patterns and trends, providing actionable insights.
- Developing and managing data pipelines and ETL processes in collaboration with data engineers.
- Utilising scripting languages and databases to automate data workflow processes.
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, business stakeholders, and external partners to gain insights and solve data-related problems.
- Proactively identifying and resolving data-related risks and issues.
- Managing data-related projects and initiatives.
- Applying a strategic approach to data and information management.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
- Providing technical support and training to team members and other departments.
- Communicating effectively across all business areas and externally.
- Maintaining documentation and providing regular updates on project progress and data-related issues to management.
Typical Knowledge and Experience:
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification, with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional activity, preferably with at least 2 years of experience in numeracy/statistical data extraction/presentation.
- Existing knowledge of data systems, structures, and policies, with a wider understanding of standard data structures and dictionaries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in an agile and dynamic environment.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities, including VB, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Practical experience with coding languages such as Python is preferred.
- Understanding and awareness of database technologies, such as SQL, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, effectively prioritising workload.
- Experience in business analysis to understand and document business requirements.
