Accounts Assistant

Our client, a thriving and expanding local business, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operation within their lower-level accounts function. This role is dynamic and varied, involving the management of financial transactions, payroll, and general administration tasks. The position will involve working closely with the Finance Manager, in a small close-knit team with a great atmosphere. The client is a growing local business, who looks after their staff and customers, valuing quality and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have some prior exposure to accounts, although full training will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further experience and develop your skills under the guidance of the Finance Manager. Familiarity with accounts software is advantageous, especially if you have experience with SAP, SAGE, or SAGE Payroll, alongside a good understanding of Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Credit control
  • Process expenses within agreed deadlines
  • Allocate payments
  • Provide payroll and HR support
  • General administration duties
  • Monitor the accounts inbox
