We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in a job share capacity as a Purchasing Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination from customer needs to product delivery.
Key Responsibilities for the Purchasing Assistant
- Generate Bills of Materials for production, raise works and purchase orders based on technical team input
- Coordinate order placements and communicate with suppliers efficiently using Sage
- Update and maintain the engineering change request system to ensure accuracy Compile and prepare End of Month Data Reports to support decision-making processes
- Assist with stock-taking activities and prioritize incoming site requests for timely resolution
- Raise works orders, raise purchase orders from processed works orders
- Place and track orders, including office supplies and employee requests
- Ensure the timely ordering and restocking of coffee supplies and related items
- End of Month Data Reporting
Experience, skills, and attributes for the Purchasing Assistant
- Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing tasks efficiently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Capable of managing workload and prioritising tasks effectively under pressure
