GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a globally successful and highly recognisable manufacturer located in Droitwich. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Patternmaker/Vacuuming Forming Toolmaker to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm offering a salary circa £35K negotiable pending relevant experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining patterns and vacuum forming tools that meet our high standards of quality and precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work with a variety of materials.
Patternmaker/Vacuuming Forming Toolmaker main duties:
- Design and fabricate patterns and vacuum forming tools according to specifications and blueprints.
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and machinery to create and modify patterns and tools.
- Work with PLASTIC materials
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure patterns and tools meet project requirements.
- Inspect and test tools to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of patterns, tools, and modifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair tools as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Patternmaker/Vacuuming Forming Toolmaker main duties:
- Proven experience as a patternmaker and/or vacuum forming toolmaker.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for pattern and tool fabrication.
- Strong understanding of materials used in patternmaking and vacuum forming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certification or apprenticeship in patternmaking, toolmaking, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of CAD software and CNC machining is a plus.
