Tempest Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to work at one of our partner primary schools in the borough of Croydon. This is a 2-form entry Ofsted rater 'Good' mainstream primary school.
You will be working 1:1 with an SEN child in who will be going into Year 4 in September 2024. The school are looking for a hard-working Teaching Assistant who can help the child develop educationally, socially and emotionally.
Having suitable primary school experience will help to further support your application. However, experience with SEN is highly considered. This position is perfect for someone who is pro-active, enthusiastic and can use their initiative when needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 support to an SEN child
- General classroom duties as required by the class teacher
- Ensuring rules and guidelines specific to the school are followed.
- Observing and reporting feedback on the development of the child you are working with.
- Working collaboratively with staff and SLT.
