We have a brand-new opportunity for a savvy and business-driven Director of Sales to join a stunning and multi award-winning country house hotel based outside Milton Keynes.

You will be the driving force behind their revenue growth and market expansion across corporate, group, and MICE segments. Your role will involve building and nurturing relationships with key clients and your creativity and strategic thinking will be essential in developing and executing innovative sales strategies that set the hotel apart from the competition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a proactive approach to maximise revenue from corporate, group bookings, and MICE business
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities within the UK, focusing on the MICE market to meet hotel budget targets
  • Maintain open communication with the General Manager to create a sales-driven culture and improve performance
  • Identify and build relationships with local businesses to enhance brand visibility and increase direct bookings
  • Market and sell hotel events within the local community, collaborating with destination organisations for effective outreach
  • Lead the development and execution of the sales and marketing plan
  • Leverage local sales resources to drive customer engagement and community initiatives according to seasonal needs

What Do You Need to Qualify for This Role?

  • It is essential that you have your own transport and can travel as required.
  • You will have current proactive sales experience within a hotel, particularly in meetings and conferencing
  • You must be driven, very well presented, and able to act on your own initiative where appropriate
  • Experience working within a proactive sales role, with set targets and objectives
  • Exhibit a methodical and systematic approach, maintaining high levels of organisation
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and attention to detail are crucial
