Management Accountant

The mission is to ensure efficient and effective use of resources to deliver high-quality public services. Currently seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
  • Support financial decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis for special projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support financial planning and control.
  • Manage and develop financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and guide junior finance staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is essential.
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the public sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of public sector finance regulations and best practices.
