Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
- Support financial decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Conduct financial analysis for special projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to support financial planning and control.
- Manage and develop financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and guide junior finance staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is essential.
- Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the public sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of public sector finance regulations and best practices.
