Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team of existing DevOps professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and documenting Azure-hosted environments to ensure they provide robust, scalable, and cost-effective hosting solutions for our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

New Platform Creation and Recommendations:

  • Design and develop new platform environments tailored to our needs.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for platform enhancements and new technologies.

Platform Improvements and Deployments:

  • Continuously improve existing platform infrastructure.
  • Manage and execute deployment processes to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Technical Support and Guidance:

  • Assist and guide the development team in making informed environment-related decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve environment issues in collaboration with the development team.

Technical Application Support and Escalation:

  • Handle escalated technical application support tickets, providing expert resolution and ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Azure environment management.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Profile

In order to succeed in this role, you will have technical experience in the following:

Essential Skills:

  • 5 + years' implementing and maintaining DevOps processes
  • Docker containers (Linux and Windows)
  • Container orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Continuous deployments
  • Microservices architecture
  • Centralized logging and health checks
  • Azure Pipelines
  • Azure SQL databases and elastic pools
  • Azure SQL MI
  • CosmosDB
  • AzureGit or equivalent source control
  • Azure Service Bus or other message bus solution e.g. RabbitMq
  • Powershell
  • MS SQL Experience
  • Nginx
  • Azure Load Testing
  • Azure Application Insights
  • Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Platform tuning experience

Beneficial skills:

  • Bicep
  • CloudFlare
  • ARM Templates
  • Familiar with Octopus Deploy
  • Knowledge of C# .NET
  • Prometheus / Grafana dashboards

Job Offer

This role is offering:

  • A base salary of up to £80,000 for the perfect candidate
