Job Title: Pre-Press Engineer
Location: Byramsmuir Road, Holytown, Motherwell
Pay Rate: £15.67
Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 18:00 - 05:00 - 38.5 hours per week (This is a variable shift pattern working on a 4 on 4 off system, predominantly nights.)

Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Pre-Press Engineer to join our passionate and driven team at Newsprinters, Eurocentral.
As a Pre-Press Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of printing plates using computer-to-plate (CTP) technology. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute directly to the success of our client's printing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process digital files for printing plates using CTP systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot files to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize print output.
- Maintain and calibrate CTP equipment.
- Monitor plate production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Assist with day shifts as needed, maintaining flexibility in your work schedule.
About You:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Requirements:
- Experience in pre-press operations in the Print Industry would be advantageous but all trainin would be given
- Proficiency in industry-standard software. (Advantageous however, training will be given)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work night shifts as the primary schedule.
Qualifications:
- A mechanical certificate time served, or any level City and Guilds certification in mechanical engineering
- Familiarity with printing processes and plate-making techniques, but not essential
- However, training will be given to the right candidate.
