Design and Technology Teacher
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, fostering a love of design and technology, and preparing students for success in their future endeavours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Design and Technology lessons
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting students in developing their design and technological skills
- Contributing to the overall development of the Design and Technology department
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Commitment to professional development
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4
- Expertise in a specific design and technology specialism (e.g., Resistant Materials, Product Design, Food Technology)
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
