Our client is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to support a maternity cover, located in their offices on the outskirts of Burton Upon Trent. This will be working as part of a small team and reporting into the financial controller. The successful applicant will be be ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified and have at least 3 years industry experience.
The Finance team are often in the office, making the most of the beautiful views on offer however if required hybrid working is offered.
This is your typical Assistant Financial Controller role, duties will consist of:
- Responsible for the compilation of the daily cash book and weekly cash flow forecast
- Responsible for daily banking and bank administration, bank reconciliation and reporting
- Responsible for group overheads accounting, reporting and analysis and journal entries
- Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support FC with month end accounting and reporting
- Manage shared inbox for payroll, expenses and other finance queries, ensuring adherence to internal SLAs
- Ensure QuickBooks and databases are kept up to date (e.g. customer / supplier records, set up new codes)
- To support the FC with VAT accounting and returns*To assist with processing of Invoices, Purchase Orders, Sales Invoices and credit control where necessary
This is a full tme position paying £40 - 45k per year.
