Credit Controller

Posted by Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited.

Your new company
They are seeking to add a Credit Analyst to their hard-working, qualified, dynamic and proactive Credit team. The company offers fantastic training within the Credit Analysis space, and you'll have experienced peers to develop your skills quickly and effectively to handle your portfolio. Within the Credit function, they have been CICMQ accredited for a number of years and will be working towards this again this year.
Your new role
After full and robust training, you'll take control of a large portfolio of accounts for the company. Working proactively to support the team both over the phone and with email follow-up, this role is by no means a call centre position but does require skills for account management and relationship development to perform successfully. On a daily basis, there will be customer communication, liaison with the sales team, analysis of data and credit information and reconciling accounts to support audit requirements. On a monthly basis, you'll review Accounts Receivable performance and improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
The most important requirement for this role is your approach and values to your duties: being proactive, building relationships, problem-solving, developing your knowledge, being honest, working hard and being open to change.
A baseline knowledge of financial processes with Credit Control / Credit Analysis is highly desirable.
Some account reconciliation / finance methodology knowledge is a benefit.
Strong Excel skills will be needed (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables tec). However, the Manager of this role is keen to stress that technical finance skills can be taught.
If you do already possess a CICM qualification, this will help towards the departments' CICMQ accreditation, but they are very keen to support people on their way to becoming certified.
What you'll get in return
This organisation offers a fantastic, long-term career within a stable and growing global organisation.
They're offering a salary of up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
25 days holiday + Bank holidays
Extensive training and study support for relevant qualifications once probation is passed.
With the role being based near Chesterfield office, it is easily accessible by road and public transport.
Hybrid pattern 2 days in office, 3 days working from home.
