We are now looking for a Transport Shift Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 14:00 - 22:30 Monday to Friday.

The Role
As a Transport Shift Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day transport operations across our two key depots in Northampton.
You will manage drivers, transport operators, and clerks, ensuring smooth, efficient operations and full compliance with transport legislation.
Overseeing optimised transport performance, you will work to meet KPIs, build strong relationships with customers, and handle employee relations processes.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage all aspects of the transport department, ensuring seamless operational activities
- Oversee the effective running of transport operations to meet customer and company expectations
- Provide routine and ad-hoc reports, measuring performance against KPIs
- Manage customer queries and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Support investigations, disciplinary hearings, and employee relations processes
About You
To be considered as a Transport Shift Manager, you will need:
- Experience in HR processes, including absence management and performance appraisals
- Commercial awareness and cost management experience
- Proven leadership qualities with experience managing transport operations
- Good working knowledge of relevant transport and operational practices
- Excellent customer service skills and IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office
- Organisational skills
