Trade Sales Manager

Exciting Opportunity for a Trade Sales Manager to join a Travel company team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to start and build a new multi-million-pound area of revenue for the business. To date we have generated sales from a B2C position but are to move into trade sales. We are looking for someone who can not only provide a strategic plan but also have the experience and know how to deliver.

As this position is new, day one will just be you taking on board all responsibilities. As revenue grows, you'll have the ability to forge and grow a team which in time we'd like to have an international footprint. As exciting as this opportunity is, it will undoubtedly be challenging. Combining drive with

experience against a solid plan will deliver results in line with business expectations. We are here to support and ensure this area of business reaches its full potential.

The Job:

  • Devise a strategy to acquire travel agency partnerships.
  • Sourcing travel agents / agencies to work with
  • Assist in the development of the commercial offering.
  • Implement travel agent training.
  • Devise agent fam trip visits.
  • Devise agent incentive plans.
  • Continually build and develop trade relationships.
  • Be aware of the competitive landscape.
  • To constantly feedback to the business on how to improve / change vs the broader

market.

  • To help identify trading opportunities and work with the product team to bring them to

life.

  • To grow a team of account managers over time allowing for UK coverage followed by

an international team.

  • To help develop the technical requirements for B2B partnerships.

Skills Required:

  • A number of years in a trade relationship / sales role within the travel industry and

specifically within the touring sector.

  • To already have excellent relationships with various travel agencies.
  • To understand commercial models of trade distribution.
  • To have managed at least one person.
  • To be proficient in the usual digital business tools (Excel, Word, Google, social media

etc.).

  • A self-starter, someone who is driven and autonomous.
  • Someone to set their own daily tasks.
  • Brilliance at prioritising and efficiency.
  • Excellent relationship management using all forms of communication.
  • Ability to write engaging emails with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, very much a 'people person'.
  • Motivated by long term targets and a salary plus bonus.
