Management Accountant Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Shepherds Bush for a Management Accountant to join our client's team. This role is ideal for finance professionals looking to advance their careers within a well-established company. The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant with experience in retail and strong IT skills.

Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:

Month-End Tasks:

  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and post Depreciation
  • Update Management Accounts pack and data
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet items (Stock, Prepayments, Accruals)
  • Reconcile Sales/Refunds across Netsuite, Global E, Shopify
  • Analyse and defer pre-order sales
  • Review major P&L costs (marketing, rent, fulfilment)
  • Present Management Accounts for review (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
  • Track staff uniform allowance balances

Stock Control

  • Monitor stock accuracy with Merchandising
  • Manage stock locations and address VARs (e.g., Negative stock)
  • Organise and reconcile physical stock counts at stores and Torque

Additional Duties

  • Ensure Netsuite accurately records financial and sales data
  • Assist with system updates, Budget, Reforecasts, Audit, VAT returns
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed

The successful Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:

  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Retail experience
  • Experience in Management Accounts and month-end procedures
  • Proficient in accounting software (Netsuite preferred, SAP, Great Plains)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an inquisitive mindset

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement.
