Join our client's dynamic and rapidly expanding team as a Mechanical Fitter! If you have a passion for vehicles and want to be responsible for maintaining a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Salary: £49,788 p/a

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all vehicles are serviced and inspected to VOSA standards, keeping safety as a top priority.
  • Diagnose and rectify any faults that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Identify and order necessary parts when required, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
  • Conduct breakdowns as needed, always ready to lend a helping hand.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the company's vehicle maintenance system.
  • Keep the workshop facilities, tools, and equipment clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Adhere to correct and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Perform routine servicing and repairs such as brakes, gearbox, and clutch repairs.
  • Consistently strive to achieve the highest standards of workmanship.

Requirements:

  • ADR experience and knowledge is essential.
  • Previous experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics is a must.
  • Work experience in a busy HGV workshop is highly valued.
  • Positive representation of our client to customers and suppliers is key.
  • Compliance with all contractual employment obligations is mandatory.
  • Adherence to ISO standards is crucial.
  • Willingness to participate fully in the company's performance management and development programmes.
  • Familiarity with the organisation's Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Dedication to maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
