Your Role as Assistant Estimator:
- Support Estimation Team: Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Analyse Documentation: Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents.
- Collaborate: Work closely with various departments and stakeholders.
- Client Engagement: Liaise with clients at the early engagement stage, advising on compliance and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop good working relationships with the Estimating Team.
- Prepare budget costs for construction projects.
- Act as the first point of contact for the estimating team.
- Assist with tender submissions and resolve cost differences.
- Coordinate meetings with clients, the delivery team, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor construction processes and research prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure project costs stay within forecasts and escalate issues to the Estimating Manager.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in estimating or construction projects, ideally within passive fireproofing.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects efficiently.
