Technical Compliance Officer

  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-16:15)

Reed Food & FMCG are recruiting for a rapidly growing and vibrant company specialising in food across the UK and European markets. We are looking for a Technical Compliance Officer who is highly motivated, energetic, and possesses a positive outlook. This role is ideal for someone who is task-focused, has great attention to detail, and is an excellent communicator.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Write and develop company systems & procedures in line with BRCGS, M&S, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct QC testing including water, environmental, and calibration tests.
  • Manage Certificates of Analysis for raw materials.
  • Ensure all food produced is safe, legal, fit for human consumption, and meets customer requirements.
  • Serve as the technical key contact for the factory, addressing technical issues and queries.
  • Handle customer contacts and queries.
  • Manage the Pest Control Contractor and coordinate the dispatch of lab samples.
  • Support internal/procedure audits.
  • Log and investigate non-conformances.
  • Manage Halal, Kosher, and Sedex certification.
  • Oversee raw material supplier management and special projects related to site-specific issues.
  • Assist in raw material data and specification management within procedure compliance.
  • Provide support in writing company and customer specifications ensuring procedure compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Food Science-related degree qualification is ideal.
  • Experience in HACCP and internal audits, including exposure to BRC and customer audits.
  • Proficiency in writing procedures and conducting QC testing.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook, including Word and Excel.
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths and English.
  • Excellent time management skills with a flexible approach to work.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence.
