Management Accountant
Salary: up to £45K dependant on experience
Location - Kettering
T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a leading international manufacturing business. This role presents a great opportunity for someone to grow and develop in the role.
As Management Accountant, you will work as part of the finance team with a particular focus on the month end close process, payroll analysis, Gross Margin and SG&A analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, audit and tax analysis and statutory and regulatory filings. You will also provide support to the team with the budgeting and forecasting process with respect to SG&A costs, identifying areas of financial opportunity and risk.
This role supports several sites across the UK and travel between sites will be required.
Main responsibilities in this Management Accountant role will include:
Management Accounting:
- Completing monthly manual journal postings.
- Period end processing and providing support with production of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Inputting into monthly Gross Margin and SG&A analysis, including variance commentary.
- Acting as a Finance contact for departmental heads and ownership of their cost centre performance.
- Identifying and quantifying areas of financial opportunity and risk.
- Supporting with preparation of budget and forecast inputs.
Process & controls:
- Supporting with the preparation of monthly consolidation and resolution of intercompany differences.
- Supporting the input into the external audit process, ensuring that audit deliverables are prepared within deadlines.
- Supporting the management of the IFRS16 module.
- Supporting with the preparation & completion of statistical returns.
- Supporting with the preparation & completion of monthly VAT returns.
To be successful in this Management Accountant role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:
- Ideally a qualified accountant or studying towards a formal accountancy qualification (CIMA/ ACCA)
- Experience within manufacturing in a similar role would be an advantage
- Experience of working in a high pressured, commercial environment
- Good IT skills including extensive use of Excel and ERP, preferably SAP.
- Taking pride in being a trusted business partner to the Finance Team and business stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills
