Full Time Contract
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Learning and Information Officer within a Library based in Islington. This is a contract role working full time hours, with occasional Saturday work.
The job:
- Provide a high quality, customer focused library service.
- Carry out day to day duties connected with customer care and/or the maintenance and supply of stock
- Public service routines including shelving, shelf tidying, using ICT to issue and discharge borrowed items, register new users, answering telephone.
- Assist in reader development and promotional activities including story reading and rhyme time activities with children of all ages.
- General ad-hoc library duties as directed by management
The candidate:
- Previous experience working in a public library
- Customer facing experience
- Strong IT and communication skills
