Purchase Ledger Clerk
Based: Darwen/Blackburn area

Our client is a rapidly expanding, hugely successful business based in the Blackburn area. Manufacturing, designing and distributing products globally, they pride themselves on being a world leader in their industry having grown organically and through acquisition over the last 10 years. A newly created Purchase Ledger role is now available due to growth, this position will sit in a finance team of 8 looking after all UK ledger duties
Role:
- Setting up new suppliers ensuring company process adhered to
- Processing invoices for UK customers up to 1000 monthly as a team
- Dealing with Warehouse on any invoice discrepancies, resolving timely
- Monthly review of all supplier account information on SAGE
- Requesting monthly supplier statements and reconciling t oERP
- Monitoring purchase reports, providing updates to the Finance Director
- Matching, checking & coding invoices.
- BACS payment runs, processing staff expenses
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Assisting on various costing/stock projects and opportunity to grow in the role
Experience:
- Purchase Ledger experience in a busy, high volume environment
- AAT studying or keen to study and develop
- Hands on, able to work in a team and independently
- Good communication skills and confidence to deal with internal stakeholders in different departments
- SAGE experience desirable but not essential
