My client a leading manufacturer in the food packaging industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated Die Cutter Operator to join our growing team. As a Die Cutter Operator, you'll be responsible for operating a sheet-fed flatbed die cutting machine, playing a vital role in our production process and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Day to Day of the role:
- Set up, operate, and maintain sheet-fed die cutting machinery, specifically Asahi die cutters.
- Verify job details and perform necessary adjustments to ensure precision in the die-cutting process.
- Conduct daily press maintenance, lubrication tasks, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Work towards achieving production targets with enthusiasm.
- Inspect pallets after cutting and complete daily quality checklists to uphold product standards.
- Maintain accurate records of time, materials usage, and production information.
- Assist with hand packing duties as required, ensuring flexibility within the production team.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, hygiene procedures, and allergen management practices.
- Report any unsafe conditions or compliance issues promptly for corrective action.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality concerns or customer feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Sheet Fed Die Cutting Operator is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating machinery similar to Asahi die cutters is beneficial.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to producing quality work.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey information.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new processes.
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as hand jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts is preferred.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot issues.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting.
