Pertemps are currently looking for a Battery Maintenance Technician to join their client based in the Houndmills area of Basingstoke. We are looking for someone who is confident with maintaining and repairing motive power batteries.
This is a temp to permanent position
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out basic maintenance on Forklifts on site
- Maintaining and cleaning spare batteries on site
- Report any issues or repairs Line manager
- Safely prepare equipment for transportation
- General housekeeping of area
- Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30 (40 hours a week)
- Flexibility to be on call or cover if required. This could be weekend or evening overtime.
- Starting salary of £11.50 - £12.00 per hour based upon experience
Requirements for the role:
- Good electrical/mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of Forklift Batteries & Chargers is desirable
- Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance is desirable
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Capability to work well under pressure
