We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional to join SNG as a Stock & Materials Project Lead on a 12 month fixed term basis.
We're looking for someone to manage the supply chain, key accounts and provide analysis for our Property Services division focusing on our warehouse and van stock management and optimisation.
Based from any of our offices across our geography in the South, you'll combine office and home working to ensure a positive work life balance. This role will involve travel across our regions, therefore a driving licence and access to a car is required.
The role:
Reporting into the Head of Support Services you'll be responsible for implementing an effective management of SNG's material, plant hire and equipment, providing a professional service to operational delivery teams across our regions.
Key Deliverables include:
- Proactively manage supplier relationships to strengthen delivery of our service, supporting our operational teams
- Lead on the van stock optimisation project, ensuring responsive teams utilise van stock and increase productivity
- Lead on the stock management project, partnering with the yards project to ensure stock protocols are in place that provide full visibility that strengthens usage and creates a full audit trail of a materials journey
- Lead and monitor an effective catalogue management system for all suppliers in support of the Supply Chain Co-Ordinators.
- Assess all agreed price increases and provide impact analysis, ensuring all budget holders and managers are aware and can accurately forecast.
- Identify and manage risks connected with the supply chain, ensuring all actions and checks are carried out in order to mitigate them.
What we're looking for:
- Should ideally hold a MCIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or relevant professional qualification
- Demonstrable experience in supply chain management in a building environment and a proven track record of delivering value for money savings
- Knowledge or experience in Warehouse and Stock management desirable
- A good understanding of contract management with a commercial background
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Proficient level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
- Highly numerate and articulate with strong financial acumen
- Strong understanding of and responsibility for governance and risk management of supply contracts.
