Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Elevation have the pleasure of working with an industry leading manufacturing client in the Barnsley area who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their well established team.

Salary: £45,839
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Days and nights – Panama shift pattern

Duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Being proactive within the job focusing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the infrastructure and Mechanical Control Systems.
  • Attending to breakdowns
  • Actively working with the continuous improvement team to ensure yourself and the company are the best it can be!
  • Dealing with PPM's
  • Working within a team environment- you will usually be partnered up with another Electrical Engineer throughout the day
  • Fault finding on PLC's such as Siemans, Omron

Desired experience:

  • You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ based)
  • It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
  • Ideally have 3 years experience within a similar environment/ job role
  • Must have manufacturing experience.
  • Must be happy working days and nights on shift rotation.
  • Have experience of Fault finding withing previous roles.
  • Knowledge and experience of PLC's such as siemans and omron would be advantageous
  • Have experience basic electrical maintenance experience also
  • Must be happy within a team environment, whilst also being capable of working from own initiative
  • Great communication skills (reading and spoken English is Essential)
  • You must be open minded and flexible to change with the needs and growth of the business
