Senior Administrative / Finance Officer

Due to the retirement of our current post holder, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly effective, professional and enthusiastic Senior Administration/ Finance Officer to join our happy, popular and successful village school. Set in Sway, in the heart of the New Forest, 8 miles from the town of Christchurch, St Luke's CE Primary School, Sway has excellent facilities, delightful children and staff who aspire to achieve the very best.

In addition to leading our Office team, our new Senior Administration / Finance Officer will lead the management and delivery of office systems and be keen to be fully involved in the life of the school. Responsible for providing HR and financial planning, systems and control in addition to playing a key role in Health and Safety, you will have good all round IT skills - competence in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel and Google applications. As our new Senior Administration / Finance Officer, in addition to excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, you will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work calmly, proactively, flexibly and adaptably in a constantly changing and busy environment. With a caring approach, you will be confident dealing with a diverse range of people both on the phone, face to face and in writing.

Ideally, our new Senior Administration / Finance Officer will have experience working in a school office, be proficient in SIMS, our School Information Management System, use of IBC and be first aid trained, however, training can be given to the right candidate.

Our new Senior Administration / Finance Officer will work 34.5hrs per week for 39 weeks of term time (Mon to Thursday 8.30- 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm) plus one additional week, spread over the school holidays. Salary will be based on experience but start within the E Grade range of £30,859 to £33,951 FTE.
