Options Autism are hiring a Registered Manager to join our fantastic team in the Birmingham region.

Role: Registered Manager – Respite Breaks

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Location: Kingstanding, Birmingham

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our specialist Residential Service for adults with complex learning disabilities in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

We provide short-term, respite support to adults with very complex ASC and associated challenges. Our residents deal with a variety of communication challenges, so the maximum capacity of the service is 2 in order to provide the specialised and focussed support needed to provide the best possible service.

The Opportunity

As the Registered Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our home, ensuring the highest standards of care for the adults that we support

.You will promote a relentless focus on high quality, nurturing environment and key role in their accommodation making an impact on their lives.

Duties include;

  • Management and oversight of day-to-day operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
  • Supervising and mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional development.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans for our young people.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for both staff and young people.

About us:

Respite Breaks Group provides education day services and a small respite break home for autistic adults or adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. They support people at 14 sites across the Midlands and are currently working with around 140 young adults.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
