Remote (The candidate must be based in the UK for payroll purposes)

£48500 - £57500

A large international charity is seeking a Group Accounting Manager to compliance with FRS, Charity SORP and other statutory/ regulatory requirements. You will also provide robust accounting advice to internal stakeholders and provide leadership to a team of 3.

Key duties will include:

  • ensuring and updating new accounting standards
  • collaborating with the Governance and Compliance team
  • preparing and reviewing FRS and UKGAAP reporting and technical accounting papers
  • advising stakeholders in relation to technical accounting issues
  • liaising with auditors on technical accounting issues
  • interpreting and implementing new FRS developments/ standards
  • providing internal and ad-hoc training and advice on technical accounting
  • supporting the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager
  • liaison with the Governance and Compliance team

What you will need:

  • CCAB (or equivalent) fully qualified accountant
  • Proven technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
  • Strong technical accounting and writing skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills (financial modelling)
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Experience of working in an environment with remote stakeholders
  • the ability to make limited trips to the organisation's Country Offices if required
