The Company:
Our client is a successful manufacturer and innovator of fabrics, they are currently looking to recruit a Purchasing/Production Administrator. This is a varied and busy role working in a team focused and supportive environment.
The Role:
- Booking stock in and out of the business
- Liaising with freight forwarders, suppliers and the warehouse regarding deliveries.
- Organising the delivery of fabric to suppliers for further processing such as PVC coating and FR coating
- Invoice checking to match supplier invoices with delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Liaising with Design, Merchandise, Sales, Packaging and QC Departments.
- Selling alternatives if out of stock, emailing images over to a customer to cement a sales
- Build and maintain relationships to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain process.
- Progress the development of product.
- Handle receipt/placement of purchase orders.
- Monitoring and tracking of new product developments for pricing and sampling.
- Maintaining a critical path.
- Tracking of price negotiation, production of reports.
- Collating and distributing supply chain information to the business.
- Creating reports - weekly shipment lists, invoice and packing details, relevant marketplace data etc.
- Other duties as required.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Products
- Comfortable making calls as well as receiving them.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
- Be a confident communicator - with strong oral and written English.
- Have the ability to organise and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, to prioritise own workload.
- Ability to work in conjunction with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
