Ideally our client is looking for someone with the following attributes from a Freight Forwarding/Logistics background

  • Able to analyse situations and make prompt decisions (when required) using sound reasoned judgement.
  • Experienced in management of UK wide Multi-Modal Sales Team
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Able to project manage.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Good knowledge of Freightos & Webcargo systems

Duties Include:

  • Reporting on all activities to Vice President
  • Driving growth in revenue and profitability by actively developing (target) customer relationships.
  • Actively participating and taking ownership on pre-defined key accounts for Europe & UK.
  • Set up business goals and action plan, and implement to achieve budget.
  • Cooperate with European Sales Department (ESD) and other UK General Managers to achieve budget.
  • Increase management's effectiveness by communicating values, strategic goals, and objectives and pro actively manage performance of sales staff.
  • Manage the country sales team and sales executives and ensure successful achievement of targets.
  • Recruit sales staff as required.
  • Implement action plan to achieve annual budget and ensure staff are aware of the requirements to achieve this.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing standards for sales.
  • Monitoring all sales staff activities using Salesforce in conjunction with ESD.
  • Cooperate with ESD to expand UK and European Business through each target industry and account.
  • Hold general sales meeting at each quarter end with sales staff.
  • Set performance based payment (sales incentive) and sales targets.
  • Arrange work with days with Hunter Sales to motivate and guide on technique.
  • Attend monthly General Manager's meeting
  • Any other reasonable task requested by the VP or Managing Director.
