???? Library Assistants Needed! Join our client's team and help deliver top-notch library services to residents and users. �?

??Location: Varies (Council Library, Prison, Schools' Library Service, Library at Home, or Archives and Local Studies)

??Contract Type: Temporary

?Working Pattern: Full Time

??Hourly Rate: £14.41

Key Accountabilities:

? Deliver high-quality library services, meeting targets and performance standards.

? Support corporate objectives and specific change projects.

? Maintain strong relationships with internal services and external partner organisations.

? Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and health & safety requirements.

? Promote equality of opportunity and diversity in service delivery and employment practises.

??Functional Responsibilities:

?? Provide exceptional customer service for all library visitors, responding to inquiries in person, via phone, email, or letter.

?? Offer advice and guidance on library resources, including IT, reference materials, and council information.

?? Manage the self-issuing/discharge system, issue/return stock, and process new memberships.

?? Engage in activities and events for all ages, ensuring a well-presented and inviting library environment.

?? Handle cash transactions and follow cash-handling procedures.

?? Securely open and close library buildings.

?? Assist with document viewing and data entry using Microsoft Office.

?? Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

?? Good IT skills and familiarity with library systems.

?? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

?? Ability to work flexibly and adapt in a diverse environment.
