Responsibilities - Conveyancing Secretary
- Providing quotations and taking instructions from clients and opening the matters on the Case Management System (LEAP)
- Limited drafting of legal documents including preparing of contract, transfer deeds
- Preparing completion statements, applying for property searches, completing SDLT and LTT returns and Land Registry applications. Knowledge of land registry portal and online digital registration.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, referrers, other parties solicitors and other parties involved in the Conveyancing process, maintaining clear and professional communication (both face-to-face and via telephone)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
- Setting up files for exchange and completion and dealing with post-completion letters and invoices.
- Dealing with Lender Portals downloading mortgage offers, requesting redemption statements and keeping portal up to date
- General administration of files - printing of emails/documentation/ensuring checklists up to date and files are compliant
- General typing
