Role: Project Manager Salary/Rate: market rates per day (inside IR35) Location: Hybrid Bristol with occasional travel to Portsmouth Contract Duration: 90 working days (approx 5 months), 4 days per week, 30 hours per week
We are currently looking for a Project Manager for our government client. This Project Manager role is hybrid, based between approx. 3 days per week on site in Bristol, and 1 day per week working remotely. There will also be occasional travel to Portsmouth as required.
The contract is for 90 working days (approx 5 months) total 30 hours per week, over 4 days per week, with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.
Security Clearance: Security Check ("SC Clearance")
This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.
Role Profile/Responsibilities:
- Must have evidence of Cat A programme or project delivery in defence sector
- Must have evidence of a leadership role delivering time critical milestones
- Must have evidence of working in defence project delivery or in industry facing defence within the last 3 months
- Must have defence maritime experience, preferably torpedoes / submarine related
- Able to craft and own a detailed project plan
- Ability to deliver programme and project milestones against demanding performance, cost and time constraints
- Comfort in working with minimal daily supervision to deliver key outputs
- Able to look ahead and anticipate challenges, craft solutions and resolve them, using the team to support
- Comfortable working in the Cat A project delivery environment, understand the assurance and scrutiny requirements required and able to work through delivery friction at pace
- Able to use in place IT systems to deliver effective compliant staff work that stands 2* scrutiny
- APMP - Project Management
- PRINCE 2
- Managing Successful Programs (MSP) - desirable
- APMP - Management of Risk (MoR) - desirable
