A reputable property management company based in Sandwich is currently seeking a diligent Purchase Ledger Assistant for a 12-month contract. The role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone actively studying towards their AAT qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger function, ensuring the efficient processing of invoices and payments, and contributing to the financial health of the company.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Registering and managing supplier data accurately and efficiently.
  • Obtaining invoice approvals, ensuring invoices are correctly coded, and processing them alongside credit notes.
  • Managing the digital archiving of supplier documentation to maintain organised records.
  • Generating weekly payment runs and processing company payments in a timely manner.
  • Resolving any disputes and handling exceptions with professionalism.
  • Conducting thorough reconciliations between supplier accounts and statements.
  • Assisting with data collection for financial audits to support the company's compliance and reporting.
  • Processing staff expenses in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing corporate credit card expenditures and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Open to recent graduates and individuals currently pursuing an AAT qualification.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong skills in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Highly numerate with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial matters.
  • Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks effectively.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with Sage 200 accounting software is an advantage.
  • Possession of a bookkeeping or AAT qualification at level 3 is favourable.
