Mechanic (Progression to Field Service Engineer)
£30,000 - £33,000 (OTE 50k+) + 33 Days Holiday + Training + Progression

Are you a mechanic, technician with mechanical knowledge or similar, looking for a role where you can hone you skills through expert training to become a fully independent Field Service Engineer?

On offer is a brilliant opportunity to get onboard with this growing group on companies specialising in construction, demolition and heavy plant. You will be working in their generator division, servicing and maintaining diesel generators across the Midlands and North Wales. Full training will be provided and you will be paid door-to-door and be required to be on call 24hrs 1 week in 10 - being paid a minimum of 4 hours at 1.5x for any jobs attended.
This company are one of the largest construction companies in the UK and they work closely with a number of blue chip companies across the country. Having been operating for over 100 years they are an incredibly well established business that pride themselves on their sterling reputation.
This role would suit a mechanic, HGV tech or similar looking to be trained to become a fully independent Field Service Engineer.
The Role:
- Maintenance and fault finding on a variety generators and plant equipment
- Fault finding mechanical and electrical machinery
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours a week
- Overtime paid 1.5x on weekends and 2x on Sundays and bank holidays
- Door to door paid with no staying away, 1 in 10 weeks 24 hour call out with generous call out allowance and overtime rates.
The Person:
- Mechanic, Technician, Engineer or similar
- Looking to become a Field Service Engineer
- Mechanical and Electrical understanding
- Full UK Driver's License
