Job Title - Claims Handler

Job Location - Remote

Our clients are looking for an experienced Claims Handler to enhance their growing Noise Induced Hearing Loss Claims team. This role offers a stimulating environment where the selected individual will be joining a committed team, providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.

Daily Responsibilities:

Liaison: Communicate with insurers, policyholders, and brokers.

Investigation: Handle allocated claims, either from your desk or by referring them to a field adjuster for on-site investigation when necessary.

Evidence Gathering: Obtain all relevant evidence and documentation.

Resolution: Determine appropriate actions to resolve each case.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, advising on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics as needed.

Negotiation: Negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits.

Professional Correspondence: Maintain proactive communication with all parties involved.

Adherence to Procedures: Handle cases according to documented procedures and client requirements.

Reserve Management: Regularly review and maintain proper reserves.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on technical changes relevant to your role, including participating in company facilitated training programs.

Skills and Expertise:

Essential:

Proficiency in managing claims from cradle to grave.

Experience managing Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims.

Experience in basic disease.

Knowledge of how to value claims.

Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Collaborative team player.

Management of personal caseload.

Demonstrated adaptability and versatility.

Exceptional communication abilities across various levels.

Desirable:

Familiarity with reserving strategies.
