We are now looking for an Assessment Development Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As the Assessment Development Manager for End Point Assessment (EPA), you will oversee the entire lifecycle of assessment processes for apprenticeships. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards whilst leading the development and delivery of robust, valid, and reliable assessments within the engineering sector.

You will ensure that all assessments authentically reflect the intended learning outcomes, are reliably administered, and adhere to regulatory requirements.

You will maintain and implement a comprehensive Assessment Delivery Strategy for EPA, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and reliability of assessments.

Additionally, you will:

- Oversee the creation of fair, reliable, and consistent marking structures, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility
- Ensure assessments are a true measure of learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours
- Effectively lead the EPA Assessment team
- Develop a programme to continuously develop and test the validity of assessment materials
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assessments are relevant, reliable, and aligned with industry needs

About You

To be considered as an Assessment Development Manager, you will need:

- At a minimum, five years' experience in a management role in an engineering or technical environment, supported by relevant qualifications and good understanding of assessment methodologies, policy and practice
- Experience of the design, development, and delivery of a variety of assessments
- Experience of developing, designing and delivering online assessments using proctor software
- A high level of expertise in Ofqual Conditions of Recognition, IfATE and ESFA
- An extensive background in managing quality assurance functions within a regulated
