Security Operative (Part-Time, 20 hours, 7.15 – 11.15am Monday to Friday)

Summary of Requirements:

This is a part-time role at the Loughmourne site to fulfil the security and facility requirements for that site.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Security Arrangement:

  • Follow on site security requirements including but not limited to internal and external patrols.
  • Liase with the External security contractor regarding scheduled maintenance, repairs.
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras and footage. Access control and monitoring of employees, visitors and vehicles according to procedures.
  • Searching contractor vehicles as and when required.
  • Report any security events in the onsite log.
  • Assisting with emergency situations including but not limited to security alert and evacuations.
  • Support emergency services.
  • Train as a company First Aider
  • Have an up to date to SIA License.

Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality:

  • Promote the highest standards of health and safety throughout the organisation.
  • With the support of the Site Manager, maintain a safe working environment, promoting safety in the workplace and complying with all statutory requirements, company policies / procedures and promoting best practice.

Site Facilities:

  • Regular clean of office area
  • Upkeep of the site grounds including ground maintenance and general site maintenance.

Other:

  • May be required to occasionally attend offsite locations to assist.
  • Forklift driving activities.

The ideal candidate should have or be able to demonstrate.

  • A Security Industry Authority License and will ideally have at least 2 years relevant experience.
  • This person needs to be flexible to do whatever work is required of him/her within the working day. It's a small team so could be doing security, gardening, painting or other tasks as required.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
