A skilled IT Support Technician is needed to join the team at this leading publishing services bureau based in Essex on a full-time basis.
They have been thriving as a company for 40 years, providing high-quality solutions to publishers, membership organisations, charities, and businesses with a recurring customer base.
This is an office-based role for which you will need your own transport to commute to their beautiful rural location.

About the Role
As an IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for their support help desk. You will be responsible for dealing with a range of software and hardware support issues internally and for their clients, liaising with members of other teams to ensure the smooth running of the business at all times. You will have the potential to grow and develop a career within the exciting publishing sector.
Hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Normal hours would be 8.30 am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch (except during busy periods when flexible hours will be required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Front line support to both on-site staff and external clients according to their SLA
- Liaison with second line of support for complex issues
- Physical set up of hardware
- Running daily system checks
- Completing regular tasks and running system maintenance
- Website administration
- HTML email campaign creation
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working on IT support or helpdesks (would be advantageous but full training given)
- Experience of handling and processing data (would be advantageous but full training given)
- Aptitude to understand relational databases and learn new software packages (full training given)
Required Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to resolve queries
- Good spelling, grammar and command of the English language
- Comprehensive understanding of Windows operating systems
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Have your own transport due to their beautiful rural location
