Warehouse Operative - rotating shifts

Berry Recruitment is looking for 4 Committed warehouse Operatives;

Your role will be primarily Picking and Packing Orders in a busy warehouse environment; if you hold a counterbalance fork lift licence this would be beneficial but not essential (training can be provided for the right candidates internally) with a long standing client in the Northampton area - NN7 postcode.

Shifts that are available are on rotating shifts - WEEK 1 - 04:00-14:00 for 1 week of days; THIS IS MONDAY TO SUNDAY - NOTE THAT SATURDAY AND SUNDAYS WILL GENERALLY FINISH EARLIER AROUND 10AM, - WEEK 2 14:00 - 00:00 for 1 week on nights - THIS IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY; as the busier season enters these shifts will extend by 2 hours each day.

THERE IS USUALLY ADDITIONAL OVERTIME AVAILABLE AT THE WEEKENDS AND THIS IS PAID AT DOUBLETIME - EVEN WHEN YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO BE THERE ON NORMAL SHIFTS!!!!

This business is an extremely successful family business that is involved in production of animal feeds; well established for over 100 years.

You will be playing an important role within the team reporting to the Operations Manager. Key components of the roles will ensure that you have Enabled efficient operation of the Warehouse.

  • Picking and Packing Orders - accurately and in a timely manner
  • will include shrink wrapping and picking full and part pallets for paper based ordering system.
  • Use of Paragon warehouse management system (No PDA currently used)
  • Meeting KPI's for the warehouse to ensure you have a positive impact on the quality standards involved.
  • Keeping automated packers running efficiiently and clear of breakdowns.
  • Proactively ensuring the environment is working together to manage all aspects of quality control.
  • Operations of Heavy Duty Machinery (full training will be provided)
  • Acting compliantly within the Health and Safety aspects of the job role.
  • Completion of Daily paperwork.
  • Undertaking any reasonable task requested under the supervision of the management team.

After 7.5 hours have been work on the shift ON WEEKDAYS the pay rate is paid at time and a half.

The candidate for this role must be motivated and has initiative to work within the team and complete tasks in a timely and precise way.

There is an opportunity to transfer on a temp to perm basis for the right candidates and after an agreed period of time - please note that whilst with the agency the same rates are paid as own staff.
