HR People Partner

REED HR is delighted to support our Public Sector client who wishes to recruit a HR People Partner for a temporary 6-month contract.

As People Partner you will have responsibility for providing a comprehensive and professional human resources advice and support service to the stakeholders within the Operational Divisions. You will work closely with the divisional management teams to ensure the development and implementation of effective people solutions which will enable the development of organisational performance and good employee relations across the business

Change Management and Organisational Performance

  • Provide innovative HR thinking and solutions that will assist the divisions to best manage its human resources.
  • Assist in the delivery of projects identified to achieve Human Resources corporate objectives.
  • Support the development of a performance management culture within the divisions by coaching managers in the implementation of the performance management process, ensuring understanding and consistency in approach.

Management and Leadership

  • Support managers with investigations into bullying and harassment and coach and support managers and supervisors in people related issues, including disciplinary and grievance cases, dignity at work and mediation.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to managers on the interpretation of legislation, policies and procedures to ensure best practice employee relations.
  • Assist and support the HRBPs in the management of casework in relation to short and long-term absence. This includes making recommendations, advising and supporting managers, liaising with Occupational Health, case review meetings, redeployment and reasonable adjustment options and IHER and dismissal hearings.
  • Support managers with recruitment & selection.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports, liaising with HRBPs to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of sickness absence, performance management and HR KPls.
  • Deal with all key stakeholders and external agencies on employment related matters, proactively building and developing strong relationships and networks across the divisions.
  • Ensure appropriate consideration is given to the organisations equality duties as well as specific commitments associated with your job role.

Essential Criteria:

Relevant experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR role which includes handling Employee Relations within a unionised environment. Proven experience of prioritising and organizing in order to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications: Possess a minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a business related or HRM discipline.

Sound understanding of employment legislation and HR people policies and procedures. Effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills

Experience of organisational change and culture

Experience of managing and delivering HR projects

Willing to travel across all locations within N.I.

Able to satisfy such medical standards as may apply to the post

Desirable: Experience of working within Manufacturing / Operations
