These are a few primary duties for this position:
- Design and deliver captivating history lessons that engage students and foster a deep understanding of historical events and concepts.
- Evaluate and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals
- Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment, inspiring students to think critically and explore the past
- Contribute to the planning and development of a dynamic history curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
- Lead and participate in history-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and school events
In order to obtain clearance to teach History, you must meet the following requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Must Provide 2 proven professional references
- PGCE with the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role
- Proven success in teaching history to secondary school students or equivalent age groups
- A genuine passion for history and a commitment to making the past relevant and exciting for students
- Ability to create engaging, creative, and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to education
