Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in financial analysis and management reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information to support decision-making within our client's organisation.
**Management Accountant
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
- Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- Prepare and complete financial reports on a regular basis and provide information to the finance team.
- Assist with budget preparation and control, and manage budgetary follow-up.
- Work with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.
**Management Accountant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mind.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CIMA or ACCA) is preferred but not essential.
