Finance Assistant

This company are seeking a experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary, part time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing invoices in a timely manner. This is a part time position with flexibility around hours and days worked.

Duties:
- Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare payment runs and process payments via various methods
- Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
- Assist with month-end procedures and provide support for audits
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice-related queries

Experience:
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage
- Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
- Prior experience in accounts payable or similar role within a finance department
