Interim UI/UX Designer

This role is working for a membership organisation dedicated to providing exceptional value and support to its members and the wider community. We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team on an interim basis. This role is crucial in ensuring our digital experience is positive and engaging and leading to higher conversion rates and customer and member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:User-Centered Design: create wireframes and mock-ups to redesign content according to business objectives and user needs. Identify design problems and devise solutions. Adhere to style standards and conduct layout adjustments based on stakeholder and user feedback.

  • Accessibility and Compliance: ensure all content meets accessibility standards. Optimise existing user interface designs.
  • SEO and Best Practices: optimise content for SEO and advise on best practices for mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and UI/UX design principles.
  • User flow: capture steps and interactions users follow to achieve a specific task within the interface. Devise flowcharts or diagrams to depict the flow process. Address user pain points and carry out in depth testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience of UI/UX design with wireframing and prototyping tools, preferably within a membership organisation or education sector.
  • Experience of using various platforms and systems
  • Familiarity with various design systems and accessibility standards.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a short timeframe.
