Job Title: Internal Sales/Trade Counter Associate

Location: Bow, E3

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Alternate Saturdays: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Job Description:

As an Internal Sales/Trade Counter Associate, you will be a key player in our sales team, ensuring our customers receive outstanding service. Your main duties will involve processing orders, verifying item availability and pricing, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks. You will also be responsible for handling customer inquiries at the trade counter, ensuring a smooth and efficient purchasing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing:

  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all details are correct and complete.

  • Verify customer information, item specifications, and quantities.

  • Enter orders into the system and follow up on any discrepancies.

  • Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service at the trade counter, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and in person.

  • Assist customers in selecting the right products and provide product information as needed.

  • Inventory and Pricing:

  • Check item availability and pricing accurately to ensure prompt service.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product inventory levels and pricing changes.

  • Collaborate with the inventory team to manage stock levels effectively.

  • Sales Support:

  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks and customer follow-ups.

  • Assist in preparing sales quotes and processing returns or exchanges.

  • Identify potential sales opportunities and promote products to customers.

  • General Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organised trade counter area.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the building construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in processing orders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for order processing and inventory management.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified hours, including alternate Saturdays.
