Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Alternate Saturdays: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Job Description:
As an Internal Sales/Trade Counter Associate, you will be a key player in our sales team, ensuring our customers receive outstanding service. Your main duties will involve processing orders, verifying item availability and pricing, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks. You will also be responsible for handling customer inquiries at the trade counter, ensuring a smooth and efficient purchasing experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing:

Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all details are correct and complete.

Verify customer information, item specifications, and quantities.

Enter orders into the system and follow up on any discrepancies.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service at the trade counter, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and in person.

Assist customers in selecting the right products and provide product information as needed.

Inventory and Pricing:

Check item availability and pricing accurately to ensure prompt service.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product inventory levels and pricing changes.

Collaborate with the inventory team to manage stock levels effectively.

Sales Support:

Support the sales team with administrative tasks and customer follow-ups.

Assist in preparing sales quotes and processing returns or exchanges.

Identify potential sales opportunities and promote products to customers.

General Duties:

Maintain a clean and organised trade counter area.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the building construction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in processing orders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for order processing and inventory management.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified hours, including alternate Saturdays.
