Career Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher (must hold QTS/QTLS) to work on a temporary basis starting September 2024.
We are working with a secondary school in South Birmingham, who believe in the power of physical education to inspire and develop students physical, mental, and social well-being. Our school strives to nurture a caring and supportive atmosphere in which each student is recognised as an individual, actively encouraging their participation in wider school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Promote a positive attitude towards physical fitness, health, and well-being.
- Develop and implement a diverse curriculum that includes various sports and physical activities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and contribute to the schools overall mission.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications & Requirements of PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in PE, Sports, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and health education principles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their personal best.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
- Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
