Role - IT Category Manager / IT Procurement Manager
Location - Frimley, Surrey (1 days onsite per week)
Type - Permanent
Salary - £60,000-£80,000 (DOE) + bonus + benefits
Key responsibilities of the IT Category Manager / IT Procurement Manager role will include not be limited to:
- Supporting business wide strategy to modernise IT through delivering the next generation IT Outsourcing model and arrangements
- Reviewing existing IT Services contract schedules and document detailed commercial process for managing exit from incumbent providers
- Establishing and managing forums for exit commercially related processes, document outcomes and govern the performance of suppliers through exit
- Reporting internally on risks, costs and impacts of exit processes and plans to senior level stakeholders
- Identifying new significant suppliers for onboarding, requiring specific transition activity
- Supporting internal change teams from a commercial perspective on ensuring performance to plan for transition and exit processes
- Travelling across the UK to engage with suppliers and stakeholders as needed
Key skills and experience required for IT Category Manager / IT Procurement Manager and not limited to:
- Experienced procurement professional either in strategic sourcing or category management
- Strong technical understanding of IT suppliers - outsourced contracts, software, licensing & IT services
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and supplier relationship management
- Able to travel to suppliers on a regular basis across the UK
- Ability to identify and develop solutions to problems
