The FP&A Analyst position is part of the European HQ Operations FP&A Team based in Solihull, UK.
As European FP&A Analyst you will play an active part in the Financial Reporting and Analysis of the European Operations Organisation. A key focus will be the detailed analysis of key drivers driving and / or impacting operational performance, standardisation and improvement of financial processes and procedures across Europe and driving best practice across the region. You will develop a culture of functional excellence as well as encourage continuous improvement and a commitment to company values. The FP&A Analyst position is part of the European HQ Operations FP&A Team based in Solihull, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Internal & External Financial Reporting is Accurate, Reliable and Timely
- Standardization & Improvement of Financial Processes & Procedures (e.g. Financial Walks)
- Ensure Functional Excellence & Share Best Practice
- Ensure Compliance to Policies & Procedures, Local GAAP, US GAAP
- Champion the Safety Culture
- Work closely with Local Management (Operations, Sourcing, Finance, IT, HR etc) to have the Data, Analysis, Supporting Documentation to truly Understand Operational Performance
- Through Active Personal Leadership, create a Motivated and Engaged climate in order to Deliver Goals Effectively and Efficiently
- Manage Upwards and Downwards Communications in order to create a sense of Purpose and a sense of Belonging to a wider organisation
- Support Management Decision Making Processes Through Broad Ranging Detailed Financial Analysis
- Drive Continuous Improvement re Data Availability, Existing Systems, New Tools etc to Improve Data Reliability
- Support Month End / Quarter End Financial Close Process
**Experience / Knowledge
- At least 2 year's experience in a multi-site multi country finance / accounting role
- Experience of working for a blue-chip company (preferably US owned)
- Experience working in a global matrix managed organization
- Manufacturing sector experience
- Excellent business acumen and sound financial understanding of what underpins performance along with the ability to communicate numeric and financial information to non-Finance stakeholders
- Experience in systems and processes development and designing high performance organizational structures
- Detailed understanding of complex finance operations
- Strong communication skills at all levels and across all disciplines
- Ability to challenge the status quo and facilitate a continuous improvement culture underpinned by excellent service provision.
- Advanced excel skill and experience and initiative in building robust financial models
Salary / Benefits:
