Merchandising Assistant

Our Client is a Global Fashion and Headwear Brand who are looking for an experienced Merchandising Assistant to join their busy team for a 12 months FTC (Maternity cover)

The role of the Merchandising Assistant is to help maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, driving sales through improved availability and accurate forecasting.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Order management & order tracking on the system
  • Control inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to branches as required
  • Analysing trade on a weekly basis.
  • Manage POS system with price updates.
  • Liaise with Operations and Customer Services to keep informed of up-to-date delivery information
  • Liaise with Marketing to manage upcoming product launches
  • Provide historical analysis to assist Merchandiser in developing seasonal planning forecasts
  • Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales, minimise risks and communicate to DC for short term work flow planning and longer term budgeting
  • Interact with department and wider business colleagues to improve seasonal performance and drive best practices
  • Provide detailed ad-hoc analysis when required on specific products/product groups

Knowledge & Experience

You must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:

Qualifications and Achievements

  • Advanced Excel skills - essential
  • Previous experience in a retail Head Office environment - desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP / Retail Pro - desirable

Please note this is a full-time role based in our Milton Keynes office with 1 day work from home.
